• A financial statement: The amount of at least $8,100US is required for six-month period for a single person.  For each dependent (who must be either spouse or unmarried children under the age of 21) add $3,400 per person.

Person already in the U.S. changing visa to F-1 status:

• A financial statement: The amount of at least $16,200US is required for twelve-month period for a single person.  For each dependent (who must be either spouse or unmarried children under the age of 21) add $6,800 per person.

• Verification of Employment (if available)
• I-539 form: Change of Visa Application
